Riverbend Park

Riverbend Park is located at 511 E. Warren Street on the east edge of Middlebury, along the Little Elkhart River.  The park is 24.4 acres of mostly natural, wooded areas with trails throughout and facilities for all ages.

The park includes a brand new playground for the youth, lighted basketball courts, sand volleyball courts, a pavilion with electric and water, charcoal grills, hitching posts, a spring fed fishing pond, and access to the Little Elkhart River for fishing and kayaking    It is the place for many family picnics, reunions and serene river views.  The park is the home of our annual Riverfest event in August and Summer Fun Program for children

Hiking trails in the park are part of the Trails of Middlebury, extending from the park along the river and connect to the downtown neighborhood on the west side of the river.  Soon the trails will be extended with a boardwalk east connecting to the Villas at River Park community and to the north, connecting to the new Old Mill Park and Trail across Warren Street.
